Cellist Required

Pluck is looking for a female cellist with a good singing voice to take on a significant amount of work from early 2009.

This position would suit a music graduate looking to kick-start their career in a unique way, or a more experienced musician seeking a change of direction in their work. The chosen candidate will have the rare opportunity to perform in theatre, cabaret and street shows as part of an award-winning and well established comedy-music-theatre trio. For more information on pluck please see the 'about' section, and the performance archive of this website.

The successful candidate will play the cello to music college standard and be a confident vocal soloist.

Applicants must be London-based (or able to relocate), able to work flexibly on a freelance basis, and willing to travel internationally. You must be available for rehearsals in December 2008 and early 2009 (January - March, dates negotiable) and able to commit to frequent Pluck performances for at least 8 months from mid April, though it is likely that work will be available well beyond this date.

To be considered for an audition, please email the following documents to [email protected] no later than 5pm on Wednesday 19 November:

CV
Covering letter
A video clip of yourself playing the cello (if possible)
A video clip of yourself singing (if possible)

Auditions will take place in London on 24 and 25 November, with recalls on 1 and 2 December.
