So here it is. The first pluck.me.uk update since before the Edinburgh festival. To those visiting for the first time, HELLO! For those of you who�ve visited numerous times, apologies for the delay in getting new information to you. It�s been a busy few months..
As you�ll gather very quickly, our biggest news is to do with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2003, where we spent the whole of August. For more information, check out the Edinburgh page. Apart from doing over 30 performances, it was a great opportunity for showcasing our work and meeting other performers.
Since Edinburgh we’ve made some big changes to the show working with the director John Fealey. At the beginning of November we took the new show, "Italiano", to Genoa to perform for a week in the Teatro della Tosse. It was a great success; after appearing in a star studded cabaret comedy show when we arrived, and on the television news midweek, the word spread to give us a sell out show on the last night. And the reviews? Apparently brilliant (we’re working on a translation..). We�ve been invited back to Italy again in the new year, after our trip south.....
Yes, we�re heading south of the equator. After being a part of the world�s biggest Fringe Festival of the Arts, we�re performing a three week run at the world�s second biggest Fringe Festival, which happens in Adelaide, South Australia in February and March. We�re then touring round there for a week before heading to Sydney to perform a few shows at the Big Laugh Comedy Festival there. So, if you�re reading this thinking "cousin Bruce in Wooloomooloo would LOVE their show!" now�s the time to make that long distance phonecall...
Later next year in July we�re heading north to the Jyv�skyl� Arts Festival, just below the Arctic circle in Finland. Sunseeking again, but the other way... And this happens just before our return to Edinburgh for the 2004 Fringe.
That�s about it for now. We�ll attempt to update this page, and indeed the rest of the site, at least once a month, but more often if there are things we think you need to know!
